League Of Legends Match Stats

We’re excited to announce that we’ve added League of Legends Match Stats to the Plays Beta client!  Now you can see game stats and a summary while watching your replay of the match.  Here are the highlights:

Build and build path: Look at your build with a quick glance at the client. With a deeper dive, you can see when major items were completed along with minor item switches.

Skill order: See when you’ve leveled a skill and what you maxed first. This is great for experimenting with champions to see if maxing Q is better than maxing E, as well as how it differs based on match up.

Post game stats:  Look at post game stats to see where you can get better. Plays makes it easier to view your key stats while watching your video replay.  Damage dealt, healing, vision score, creep score – it’s all there to review.

Gold spread: One of the biggest indicators to determine who is leading is the gold spread. It’s important enough to be featured in almost every pro match as well as every post game breakdown.  Now you have it at your fingertips as well.

Note: League Match Stats works in Summoner’s Rift, Ranked, Blind Pick, and Draft modes.  It will not work for ARAM and 3v3 games.

If you want to see your own match stats, get the Plays Beta here and then play League of Legends.

Getting Started With Plays

Top esports pros and millions of gamers use Plays to improve and win more games. The Plays app makes it easy to record, review, and share your gameplay. We made this getting started guide to help you learn how to use Plays. While it doesn’t cover every feature, you should walk away with the basics on how Plays can help you improve and win more games!

Note: This guide assumes you are using the latest version of Plays. Get it here.

Automatically records in the background

With the Plays client running, you don’t have to remember to start recording when you play a new game. Plays automatically records your gaming sessions, so it starts recording when you start a game and stops recording when you exit the game. In addition, you can set Plays to automatically run on startup. Our goal is to make Plays as easy to use and “hands free” as possible.

Instant Replay

Have you ever had a moment when something happened in a game and you wanted to replay it immediately? Our instant replay feature is where it’s at. With the push of a button, our instant replay overlay will pop up in your game. It’s an easy way to pinpoint what went wrong or rewatch what went right at a moment’s notice.

Automatic bookmarks for key events in the top games

One of the best ways to improve and win more games is to review the key moments in each game. For example, wouldn’t it be great to go back and see every time you died so you could learn from your mistakes. It can be a hassle to go through a 40 minute match to find your kills, deaths, and assists.

The good news is that Plays helps you do this automatically. For many of the top games, Plays automatically tags your kills, deaths and assists. It makes it really easy to review your matches and find opportunities to improve. And it’s always fun to go back and review that game winning headshot.

Add bookmarks manually with a hotkey

Automatic bookmarks are great, but there are times when you want to review a play and it might not be tagged automatically. For example, that one time when you almost died and just barely got away. You can add a bookmark at any time so it’s easy to find that moment later. Did you make a great play 5 hours and 28 minutes into a 7 hour grind? Use the hotkey and book it. You’ll see the bookmark icon in the corner to confirm this moment was saved.

Replay and sharing tools

Plays has many features to make it easy to review your gameplay and share it. You can slow down and speed up the replay. Add notes to part of the video. Rewind 5 seconds to see a play again. Upload the video with one click so you can share it and get feedback from others.

We hope this guide helps you get started using Plays. The top esports pros and millions of gamers use Plays to improve and win more games. Climbing the ranked ladder is never easy, but we’re here with you to make it happen. Download the Plays app and get started today!

Guide To Improving With Plays

Many of the top esports teams in the world use Plays because it is the best way to practice, improve, and win more games.  The Plays app lets you see exactly what you saw in game, hear exactly what you heard in game, and review every moment.  If you want to spot leaks in your game, reviewing your gameplay is the best way to do it.

Here are some tips on how to use Plays to help you improve more quickly:

Use instant replay to instantly review your gameplay
One of the best ways to use instant replay is to review what happened right after you die. For example, in games like Overwatch or League of Legends you might have 30 seconds after you die before you respawn. That’s a perfect time to review how you died, see what abilities your teammates and opponents used, and to try to figure out if you could have done something differently to avoid that death.

Get in the habit of reviewing your gameplay after each match
Plays will automatically record your gaming sessions once you start up a game, so you don’t have to remember to turn it on.  Just open the Plays app after every game to review and analyze your gameplay.

Slow down footage to analyze the scene
Slow down your recording to analyze your gameplay more easily.  See everything that happened without having to pause.   It’s much easier to see what your opponents did, how you responded, and discover ways to improve.  The best part is you can witness that headshot connect down to the last pixel.

Automatic pins for kills, assists, deaths, and objectives (certain games)
Plays automatically tracks the moments that matter most with built in pins for kills, deaths, assists, and objectives. One of the best ways to improve is to reduce your unnecessary deaths.   After every match, look at how you died and see what you could have done differently to avoid that death.

Use manual bookmark to review key moments
You’ll find times when you want to revisit a key moment in the game.  You can use hotkeys to create manual bookmarks.  For example, maybe you were 1 tick away from killing your opponent.  Review that play to see if you could have done something differently to walk away with a kill.

Share videos with peers
Clip moments and share them with your peers. Show them what you did right or ask them what you did wrong. Peers can leave comments on videos.  Send them your clips and ask for feedback.
